Our Story

Shred & Build was founded by coaches Lara and Ash with a simple frustration: the fitness industry sells extremes. Starve yourself or live in the gym. Count every calorie or fail. We knew from our own training — and from the people around us constantly starting over — that none of that works long term.

So we built a coaching system around what actually works: personalised training, nutrition built on foods you enjoy, and a coach in your corner every single day. No cookie-cutter PDFs. No guesswork. No starting over every Monday.

Lara

Head Coach

Lara leads training and nutrition programming at Shred & Build. She specialises in helping clients — especially women returning to training — build strength and confidence without restrictive dieting. Her check-ins are famous for equal parts accountability and encouragement: she will not let you quietly disappear in week three.

Ash

Head Coach

Ash drives the transformation side of Shred & Build — body recomposition, fat loss and muscle building for busy people who don't have hours to spend in the gym. He builds programs around your schedule, your equipment and your real life, then holds you to the standard you signed up for.

How We Coach

Every Shred & Build client gets both coaches in their corner. Your primary coach handles daily check-ins, your training program and your nutrition plan — and adjusts all three as your body and life change.

Our philosophy: Shred the fat. Build the muscle. Build the life. You don't have to choose between being lean and being strong — and you definitely don't have to destroy your social life to get there.

Who We Work With

We deliberately keep our client roster small. We're not an app with 10,000 users — we're two coaches who know every client by name, know their goals, and notice when a check-in is missed. We work with beginners taking their first serious step, experienced lifters who've plateaued, and everyone in between. The only requirement: you show up and follow the plan.
